Jose 'Chiefy' Rodriguez

Jose Rodriguez, age 60, of Bridgeport, CT, the widower of Dianne Nunez, has gone into eternal rest on Friday August 21st, 2020 at Yale New Haven Hospital with his beloved daughter Carmen Rodriguez at his side. On December 23rd, 1959 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico Julia del Carmen Torres welcomed baby boy Jose Rodriguez into the world. At the age of five Jose, affectionately known as "Chiefy", migrated to the U.S. with his mother. She went on to marry Estanislao Lopez who became Jose's loving stepfather. Jose will be lovingly remembered by his loved ones for his talent of storytelling. He was a reliable friend who constantly looked out for the well being of those around him. Jose loved his children and cared for his family deeply. He was an aficionado of Sci-Fi, Zombies, and Apocalyptic movies and shows. Jose was passionate about dogs and an overall animal lover with a great ear for music. Jose is predeceased by his loving wife Dianne Nunez, his son Jovan Rodriguez, and his mother Julia del Carmen Lopez. He is survived by his daughters Carmen Rodriguez and Natasha Rodriguez-Larkin; his son Jason Rodriguez; his father Estanislao Lopez; his sisters Miriam Nunez, Eileen Lopez-Cordone, Nancy Lopez-Peralta, and Erica de Jesus; his brother Jaime Lopez; his aunts Gladys Crespo and Helen Torres. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will cherish the memories of him. Jose will be lovingly missed by those who loved him and had the pleasure of getting to know him.
