Jose Antonio Santiago Perez

Jose Antonio Santiago Perez, age 88 of Southport, widower of Maria L. Santiago, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Bridgeport Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Jose was born May 16, 1931 in Las Maria, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of the late Clemente Santiago & Maria Perez. Jose was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Jose could always make others smile and laugh. He had a good heart and a great sense of humor. Jose worked for many years as a landscaper. He was a hard worker and always provided for his family. In addition to his parents, Clemente & Maria, and his wife of 10 years, Maria L.; Jose was predeceased by two sons, Jose A. Santiago & Jose L. Santiago. Jose is survived by his ten children, Daisy Santiago, Oria Blackwell, Sonia Bernardo, Ivan Santiago, Maribel Santiago, Nilda Santiago, Miram Santiago, Janet Santiago, Ali Santiago, Eddie Santiago; sister, Auria Perez; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends who will cherish his memory.
