Jose Ivan Ortiz Jr.

Jose Ivan Ortiz Jr., age 48, currently of Bridgeport, passed away into the Peaceful Rest of the Lord on August 28th, 2013 at St. Vincent's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Jose was born Friday, April 23rd, 1965 in Bridgeport and grew up in Marina Village. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmen Ortiz. His is survived by his beloved daughter, Kiana Ortiz. He is also survived by his loving parents, Margarita Ortiz and Jose Ortiz Sr, his siblings, sister, Margarita Helms and brothers, Ramon, Luis, and Richard (Kadie) Ortiz, his loving nieces and nephews who will cherish their time with the Gentle Giant. Jose leaves a host of other loving, respected relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. Jose was a loving, caring, outgoing person that touched the heart and soul of all. He worked for many years as a Sherriff in Fairfield County and as a Representative of DCF of Bridgeport. He was educated in the Bridgeport School System and attended the University of Bridgeport.
