Jose Ramon Martinez, age 98, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at the Bridgeport Health Care-Center. Jose was born May 3, 1919 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of the late Conrado Martinez and Maria Collazo. He was an extremely hardworking man. Jose loved his family and always was sure to take care of them. Everyone who had the honor of knowing him loved him dearly. Jose was predeceased by his daughter, Julie Martinez. Jose is survived by: children; Jose Ramon Martinez Jr., Ana Maria Martinez Soto, Thomas Martinez; siblings; Rafael Alberto Massa Collazo, Luis Oscar Martinez Collazo; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Honor of Jose Ramon Martinez on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11AM at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, 1255 East Main St., Bridgeport, CT.
