Jorge Velez

Jorge Velez Jorge Velez, age 30, entered into eternal rest, Monday, January 26, 2009, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on January 22, 1979, son of Teodosia Ocasio & Luis E. Velez. Jorge was known for being a great father, husband, son, brother and friend with a tremendous sense of humor. A graduate and a star linebacker for Harding High School Football. He worked as a sub-contractor. Jorge resided in West Haven with devoted wife Maria Padin and daughter Destiny Velez. Survived by siblings; Carlos Cordero, Ana Cordero, Roberto Cordero, Luis Velez Jr., Hector Luis Velez, Samuel Velez, and Yahaida Velez. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in Community Funeral Chapels. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Lukes St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 594 Kossuth ST. BPT. Interment will proceed at Lawncroft Burial Park, 1740 Blackrock Turnpike, Fairfield.
