With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Jorge Iván Torres, who departed this world on June 10, 2024. Jorge was born on December 16, 1972 in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Jorge had lived in Bridgeport for the last eight months, having recently moved from his beloved Puerto Rico, looking for new opportunities and getting closer to his loved ones in the United States being the oldest of ten siblings: Glenda, Yvette, Sonia, Raquel, Cynthia, Mike, Jean-Carlos, Jean-Daniel, Christian and Yashira.


From a young age, Jorge proved to be an exceptional person. He had a kind heart and a humility that made him stand out among everyone. He was an exemplary son, always attentive and affectionate with his family. His dedication and love made him a fundamental pillar for his loved ones. He worked for 16 years in the municipality of Huraño as a security guard and was very loved by his colleagues.


He is survived by his beloved father, Florentino Torres, who always felt proud of his firstborn. Jorge was loved by all those who had the fortune to know him, and his departure leaves an immense void in the hearts of family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Paula Carrasquillo, and his aunt, Rosa Melia, whom Jorge always kept close to his heart. His love for them was unbreakable, and he now reunites with them in eternity.


His departure leaves an immense void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.


Rest in peace, Jorge Iván Torres. Your memory will always live in our hearts.

Con profundo dolor, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Jorge Iván Torres, quien partió de este mundo el 10 de junio de 2024. Jorge nació el 16 de diciembre de 1972 en Caguas, Puerto Rico, Jorge había vivido en Bridgeport durante los últimos ocho meses, habiéndose mudado recientemente desde su amada Puerto Rico, buscando nuevas oportunidades y acercarse a sus seres queridos en los Estados Unidos siendo el mayor de diez hermanos: Glenda, Yvette, Sonia, Raquel, Cynthia, Mike, Jean-Carlos, Jean-Daniel, Christian y Yashira.


Desde joven, Jorge demostró ser una persona excepcional. Poseía un corazón bondadoso y una humildad que lo destacaban entre todos. Fue un hijo ejemplar, siempre atento y cariñoso con su familia. Su dedicación y amor lo convirtieron en un pilar fundamental para sus seres queridos. Trabajó 16 años en el municipio de Huraño como guardia de seguridad y fue muy querido por sus compañeros.


Le sobrevive su querido padre, Florentino Torres, quien siempre se sintió orgulloso de su primogénito. Jorge era querido por todos aquellos que tuvieron la fortuna de conocerlo, y su partida deja un vacío inmenso en los corazones de familiares y amigos.


Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, Paula Carrasquillo, y su tía, Rosa Melia, a quienes Jorge siempre mantuvo cerca de su corazón. Su amor por ellas era inquebrantable, y ahora se reúne con ellas en la eternidad.


Su partida deja un vacío inmenso en los corazones de quienes tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo y amarlo.


Descansa en paz, Jorge Iván Torres. Tu memoria vivirá siempre en nuestros corazones.
