Jorge Luis Rivera "El Cano" Jorge Luis Rivera "El Cano" age 65, entered into eternal rest Sunday, January 3rd, 2010 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Jorge was a Bridgeport resident for 42 years, born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico to the late Antonio Rivera & Margarita Hernandez. Survived by siblings; Rosita Hill of PR., Blanca Nieves of FL., Julia Soto of PR., Fernando Soto of FL., and Miguel Alverez of CT. Jorge was a dedicated husband for 39 years to surviving wife Virginia Rivera, also survived by step-children; Norma Levine of CT., Carmen Rosario & husband Richard Figueroa of CT., William Rosario of CT., Miriam & husband Norberto Caribe of CT., Sylvia & husband Juan Muniz of OH., Daniel Rosario of CT., Son Jorge Rivera Jr. of FL. and Daughter Margarita Rivera of BPT., CT. Survived by 25 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, pre-deceased by step-children Lillian and Christopher Rosario. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, January 7th, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave, Bpt.
