John Edward Bevans Jr.

John E. Bevans Jr., 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4th 2016 at St. Joseph's Center in Trumbull. John was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport before moving to Trumbull. He worked for over 35 years at Sikorsky Aircraft. He was an Army veteran and loved to fish and paint houses. John was born in Bridgeport, CT; the beloved son of the late John Edward & Lillian (Wieser) Bevans. Besides his parents John was predeceased by: former spouse, Louisa Pagliaro; brothers, Eugene, Thomas; sister, Lillian, Dorothy & brother-in-law Donald Mott. John is survived by: son, John E. III & daughter-in-law Dolores Bevans of Bridgeport, CT; daughter, Anna Marie & son-in-law Timothy McGee of Shelton, CT; two brothers, Donald , Robert Bevans; sister, Kathy Mott of Stratford, CT; two grandsons, Michael Bevans, Matthew McGee; and several nieces & nephews. He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held privately on Thursday, July 7th 2016 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Community Funeral Chapels 798 Park Ave. Bridgeport, CT Tel: 203-334-9999. Interment will be private.
