Jimmie Lee Thames Sr; âJTâ age 77, of Bridgeport, the spouse of Alice Martinez Thames, entered heavenly rest on Monday, January 29, 2024, in his home surrounded by the love and care of his family.
Jimmie was born on May 1, 1946 in Manning, South Carolina to the late Alphanza Thames and Sarah Lee Wells. Jimmie, a beloved husband, father, and friend was known for his warm, outgoing nature, and his willingness to always lend a helping hand, demonstrating a kindness that touched the lives of many.
With a passion for football, dominoes, and spades, Jimmie embraced life with a spirit of joy and camaraderie. He dedicated many years to the security industry, serving as a diligent security guard. His dedication to his work was only matched by his devotion to his family.
Jimmie will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Alice Thames, his children, Emily Aviles (Thames), William Thames, Anette Thames, and Leeshika Thames. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of siblings.
Besides his parents Jimmie is now reunited with his son predeceased son, Jimmy Lee Thames Jr.
Friends may greet the family and pay their respects on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
