Jessie Blake Jr.

Jessie Blake Jr., age 60 of Bridgeport, CT entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Jessie was born on February 7th, 1953 in White Hall, Alabama, the adored first of eleven children born to Jessie Blake Sr. and Huzell Blake (nee Robinson). A true "Southern Gentleman" Jessie lived and worked as a carpenter in Alabama for most of his life till he moved to Bridgeport two years ago. Whether it was executing the perfect layup or spending a quiet afternoon fishing on the river Jessie loved nature and lived life to the fullest. Jessie was a kind and generous man who, in all his travels, never met a stranger. Jessie is survived by his mother, Huzell, and two children, Adrian Blake of Alabama and Javell Blake of Connecticut. Jessie also leaves behind his cherished siblings Willie, Lilly, Barbara and Sandra Blake, all of Connecticut, Robert James Blake of Ohio and Redrell Terrance Blake of Georgia. In death Jessie is reunited with his father Jessie Sr. and four siblings who predeceased him. A memorial service in celebration of Jessie's life, led by Pastor Cynthia Bellamy, will be held Saturday, April 6th, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Faith Outreach Apostolic Church, 32 Bond Street Bridgeport, Connecticut 06610.
