Jean Benoit Leveille 'Ti Ben'

Jean Benoit Leveille "Ti Ben" Jean Benoit Leveille "Ti Ben", age 78, entered into eternal rest, Sunday, May 10th, 2009. Born October 10th, 1930 in Trouin, Haiti, son of the late Adolphe & Modeste Roc, Jean Benoit is survived by siblings Roger and Lucille Leveille. He was a man of courage. It was this courage that characterized his battle with cancer and that allowed him to pass unto the Lord with dignity and grace. A resident of Brooklyn, New York for more than forty years, Ti Ben worked at Nassau Community Home and was an active member of the Our Lady of Refuge Church. His home and kindheartedness were always freely given to all comers from near and far. A devoted husband, Jean Benoit is survived by loving wife Julienne Leveille, and their children Willy Leveille, Margareth Leveille, grandchildren Allens Verdier, Marly Verdier and Brianna Leveille. Jean's life was marked by his large generosity, love of life, faith, commitment to family and lasting friendships. Ti Ben will be missed and in our hearts forever. Friends may greet the family Friday, May 15th from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Interment will held on May 23rd in Touin, Haiti.
