James 'Ricky' Harris

James "Ricky" Harris, age 64, of Stratford entered into the Lord's grace, Wednesday, November 27th, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital. Ricky played the bass guitar at Good News Missionary Baptist Church. Ricky also wrote his own songs and played in a band. He was a former employee of Pitney Bowes in Stamford, CT. James was born Friday, November 11th, 1949 in Stamford, CT, born to the late Waverly Harris and Mary Bryant. In death James is reunited with his wife, Marilyn Harris and brother, Waverly Harris Jr. James is survived by his siblings; brother, Jerome Harris of Danbury, CT., brother, Luther Blackwell of Hamden, CT., sister Jennifer William of Hartford, CT. and sister, Debbie Williams of Africa. He is also survived by his aunt, Warnette Davis of Bridgeport, CT., uncle, Harold Harris of Stamford, CT. In addition, first cousins, Darlene Bowens, (Rodney) Essie Ruffins, Kenneth Smith, Vanessa Davis, Isaac Davis, Kevin Davis, Sylvia Davis, Marie Davis, many godchildren and a host of other cousins.
