Irma Herrera, age 78, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 17th, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital with her loving family by her side. Widowed by Juan Herrera, Irma was a loving wife and understanding mother. Irma loved people and gave a helping hand to those that crossed her path, by her kind and giving heart. She will be deeply missed. Irma was born Tuesday, January 22nd, 1953 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the eldest of 8 children. Survived by son, Louis Calderon and daughter-in-law, Zaveta Calderon, three brothers, Jimmy, Andy, Angel, two sisters, Nelly, Angelica, five grandchildren, Caldesia Beacon, Christina Poole, Louis Calderon Jr., Taylor Ryan, Ryan Calderon, two great grandchildren, Roman Calderon, Tristan Calderon and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her precious memory.
