Humphrey Earl Walker

Humphrey Earl Walker, age 67, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, has climbed up the stairs of heaven to be with his creator on July 16th, 2020 in Bridgeport Hospital. On August 31st, 1952, a sweet boy, by the name of Humphrey Earl Walker, was born into the loving arms of Japheth Walker and Mavis Walker in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Humphrey spent his childhood and early teen years in St, Elizabeth before moving to Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of 21 in 1973, Humphrey moved to New York with his mother in search of better opportunities. Humphrey met his partner Kim Timmons and their love for each other lasted for 34 years and would have continued if not for his untimely departure. He fought his illness as long as he could but in the early morning of July 16th, 2016 he decided to let go and let God. Humphrey worked all his life and was a diligent worker throughout his career at Bigelow Tea, until his health no longer allowed him to do so. He was a soft-spoken man who loved God and enjoyed reading His word. Humphrey had a pleasant demeanor and was willing to help anyone who needed his assistance. His family always came first. Humphrey enjoyed watching TV, enjoying great food, and sipping on some deliciously brewed tea. Humphrey is predeceased by his father Japhet Walker; his brothers Japhet Walker, Jr., and Grantley Walker. Humphrey leaves behind his mother, Mavis walker; partner Kim Timmons; sons Gregory Walker and Andrew Walker, Nyasha Jermaine, Yero Walker, and Kasaun Walker; his daughters Kamisha Edwards, Sarai Walker, and Kairee Walker. He is also survived by his brother, Denton Walker; sister, Dalia Walker; 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild who will soon be born. Services will be held privately.
