Humberto 'Chan' Perez

Humberto Perez, age 70, of Bridgeport, the widower of Hortencia Patron de Perez passed into heavenly rest Monday, August 8th 2022 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Humberto was born on February 12, 1952 in Guayama, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of the late Rafael Perez and Cristina Diaz. Humberto was affectionately known as Chan and was raised in a Christian household in Hartford, CT. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing the guitar, fishing, site seeing and attending church. Chan was a dedicated friend, son, husband, uncle, father, cousin, a true kind gentleman that will be deeply missed. Humberto is survived by: children, Rosa Mayra Collins & son-in-law Michael Collins, Julio Patron & daughter-in-law Ana Patron, Harry Rivas & daughter-in law Maribel Rivas; siblings, Rhona Rodriguez, Doris Medina, Gladys Marquez, Rene Medina, Vincent Medina; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish his memory.
