Remembering Henry "Muscle" Jefferson Henry Ronald Jefferson was born on the Island of St. Kitts on March 13, 1944, to the late Samuel Gumbs and Floretta Jefferson in St. Kitts. He was the third child of nine children. At an early age, he migrated to St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands. Henry was passionate with the sport of bodybuilding in which he competed throughout the USVI, United States and Puerto Rico. Henry won many competitions which earned him plenty trophies. Henry's popularity across the bodybuilding circuit earned him the very deserved nickname "Muscle". He was self-employed as a laborer building homes for family, friends and others and he did it very well. He was dedicated and passionate about his work and it showed in every job he did through the details and quality craftmanship. He was a hardworking, kind, gentle, and humble person, who treated everyone he encountered well. He LOVED fishing, which was a trade he learned from his father. Henry was united in marriage to Angela Hoheb on December 18, 1998, and they relocated to Connecticut shortly after, where they resided until his passing. Angela increased his family adding three daughters Mikki(deceased), Kristin and Erika: 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Who affectionately called him Pops or Pop Pop. One special grandson from Angela's clan, Maurice, who he affectionately called "Country". He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 23 years, Angela Jefferson. His four daughters: Ingrid Charles of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Hyacinth Daniel of Burtonsville, Maryland; Rosemarie Jefferson, of St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands; Nicole King of New Britain, Connecticut; and eleven grandchildren: Wayne Jefferson, Ernesha Louissaint, Shanya Sims, Ajani Daniel, Delanie Blash Sr., Delano Holman, Dequan Lincoln, Jai'nasia Vanholten, Jah'shawn King, Faien King, Jr. and Fai'yahna King; nine great-grandchildren, Sarah, Isaiah, Khylo, Skylar, Charlotte, Delanie, Jr., D'Morie, D'Manie, Ava. Henry is survived by one sister, Edith Gumbs; a brother, Wendell Gumbs both of St. Kitts; one aunt, Melvina Dove Richardson, one uncle, Charles Williams, and many nieces: Heather, Mickey, Iris, Thelma, Helena, Rosalyn, Kishma, Juliette; four nephews: Kenneth, John, Raymond, and Walter; He had many more nieces, cousins, and nephews too numerous to mention.
