Gregory Dion Swinton, Sr. age 46, of Bridgeport, CT was born on May 30, 1968 to Roberta Swinton and Eddie Shell. He entered into peaceful, eternal rest Thursday, May 7, 2015. Greg was the kindhearted, loving husband of Verolyn Swinton and father of Renee Swinton and Gregory D. Swinton, Jr. Greg gave his live to Christ and became a member of St. Luke's Free Will Church on April 1, 2007. He was baptized very shortly afterwards. He was a very involved and dedicated member of his church and served the ministry by singing in the choir. He took pleasure in with fellowshipping with his church family. Greg also loved to travel and enjoyed various types of music. He also enjoyed spending time with his uncles, Mack and Ulysee Swinton and his cousin, Jimmy Swinton. Gregory is predeceased by his mother, Roberta Swinton and son,Quayman Crosby. Greg is survived by his wife, Verolyn Swinton; his daughter, Renee Swinton; and his son Gregory D. Swinton, Jr., all of Bridgeport, CT. He also leaves to mourn, his brother Tyrone L. Swinton and sister-in-law, Tracy L. Swinton of Indianapolis, IN; two granddaughters, Kailee Crosby and Nyasia Swinton of Bridgeport, and his niece, Victoria Swinton and nephew, Joshua Swinton of Brownsburg, IN. He is also mourned by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who will cherish his memory. Friends may greet the family Monday, May 18, 2015 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
