Gloria Ojeda Rivera

October 6, 1935 — June 24, 2024

Gloria Rivera, born on October 6, 1935, in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully at the age of 88. She was the beloved daughter of Clemencia Rivera and Aurelio Rivera and the cherished younger sister of Milagros Rivera Ojeda. Gloria was widowed to her late husband, Jorge Rivera Pagan.

Gloria is survived by her son, Nestor Reyes, and her grandchildren, Ivette, and Nestor Jr. She also leaves behind her dear niece, Miriam Rivera, who was like a daughter to her. Through Miriam, Gloria was blessed with a grandniece, Milagros Villanueva, and two grandnephews, Andy, and Antonio Villanueva, whom she loved very much from the moment they were born.

Known for her loving, generous, and strong-willed nature, Gloria was deeply rooted in the values instilled by her parents. She was immensely proud of her Puerto Rican culture and found great joy in the music of Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, whom she had the pleasure of seeing live on one of her recent birthdays—a memory she treasured.

Gloria had a passion for cooking and took great pride in the praises she received from those who were fortunate enough to share a meal with her. She was a lifelong learner and enjoyed sharing proverbs, offering life advice through well-intended messages.

Gloria's warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of generosity and strength will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share in the joy of having known such an extraordinary woman Tuesday,  July 2, 2024 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
