Gloria Cecilia Villegas Negron

Gloria Cecilia Villegas Negron, age 75, of Bridgeport, CT, wife of Luis R. Negron, entered peaceful rest on September 11th, 2020 in Milford, CT. On February 3rd, 1945, in Lima, Peru, Gloria came into the world to the loving arms of her parents Maria Huaman and Pedro Villegas. In 1965, Gloria came to the United States for vacation, instead she ended up meeting the love of her life Luis R. Negron which caused her to stay and build a life with him. Luis and Gloria married in 1974 and went on to have four beautiful boys. Gloria was very loving and caring, she worked as a teacher for many years, then worked as a teacher aid and finally even after she retired she would spend time at Luis Muoz Marin as a grandparent. She would help the immigrant parents and accompany them to all the locations they needed to go for help and resource. Gloria helped many families. She was very family oriented, Gloria was a very loving and caring mother, wife, a wonderful grandmother, sister, and mother-in-law. She was willing to do anything for her family; Gloria would love having Sunday dinners and she would love hosting all holiday dinners. She would not sit down to eat until she made sure everyone had eaten. She loved Peruvian food, enjoyed shopping, reading, and going to the movies. Gloria enjoyed yearly family vacations and visiting her native country. "Estar juntos." Gloria is predeceased by her parents Maria Huaman and Pedro Villegas; one of her brothers Jorge Villegas; and her granddaughters Aaliya Negron and Jocelyn Negron. She is survived by her husband Luis R. Negron; sons Jose Luis Negron, Roberto Negron, Pedro Negron and Jorge Negron; brothers Carlos Villegas, Santos Villegas and Julio Villegas; sisters Domitila Tamashiro, Dalya Lichaa and Maria Villegas; grandchildren Nathaniel Negron, Noah Negron, Joshua Negron, Aryanna Negron, Geovonnie Negron, Bella Negron, Ayden Negron, Sophia Negron, Christopher Negron, and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory. Gloria will be greatly missed and remembered by those who loved her.
