Gloria Swanson Dennis Lanham

Gloria Swanson Dennis Lanham, affectionately known as "Mema," age 82, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away on January 8, 2025, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport. Born on January 27, 1942, at St. Vincent's Hospital, she was the beloved daughter of Addie B. Dennis Sr. and Eunice Dennis.

Raised in Bridgeport, Gloria was a loving, caring, and hardworking woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth. She had two brothers, Chester Hall and Addie Dennis Jr. Gloria found joy in knitting scarves and blankets, and her determination to continue learning led her to earn her high school diploma at the age of 70. Throughout her life, she worked diligently as a factory worker and a store owner.

Gloria was a devoted mother to three children: Roosevelt Lanham Jr., Gary Dias, and Kathern Ortiz. She is predeceased by her parents, Eunice and Addie B. Dennis Sr., her brother, Addie Dennis Jr., her grandson, Gary Dias Jr., and Roosevelt Lanham Sr.

She is survived by her cherished children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, goddaughters, and her many friends from bingo and the community. Gloria's legacy of love and resilience will be remembered by all who knew her.
