Gloria Coln, 83, of Huntington Park, California, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 17th 2016 at Rio Hondo Nursing Center in Monte Bello, CA. Gloria migrated from Puerto Rico at the age 21 to Brooklyn, NY. She worked as a seamstress in Manhattan, NY and later moved to Los Angeles, California and lived there for 40 years. Gloria was a happy and kind-hearted mother of five children. Gloria will always have a special place in our hearts. Gloria was born on Sunday, June 4th 1933 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico. She was beloved daughter of late Marcos Coln of Spain & Petra Pagan of Puerto Rico. She leaves her companion of 45 years Miguel Angel Gonzalez. Gloria is survived by: sons, Tomas A. Torres & daughter-in-law Mimi Torres of Florida, Anibal Torres & daughter-in-law Evelyn Torres of Puerto Rico; daughters, Nereyda Robles & son-in-law Joseph Robles of Bridgeport, Marilyn Aponte & son-in-law Jaime Aponte of Bridgeport, Migdalia Torres-Coln of Fairfield; sisters, Ada Pagan, Linda Pagan; brother, Jessie Pagan all of Los Angeles, CA; ten grandchildren Jose Antonio Torres, Kim Torres, Gilberto Nieves, Elisa Lopez, Monica Robles, Marisha Alicea, Michelle Torres, Jessica Figueroa, Amanda Coln, Ashley Gutierrez; fifteen great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory forever.
