Gloria Elena Armstrong Vines

Gloria Elena Armstrong-Vines, lovingly known as Glory, age 82, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Born in the Cayo District of Santa Elena, Gloria was one of seven siblings—William Armstrong, Mervin Armstrong, Ronald Armstrong, Sareta Armstrong, Zeta Armstrong, and Maria Armstrong —5 who predeceased her. She was raised in Cayo and later relocated to Belize City, where she raised her family.

Gloria was the proud mother of seven children: Coleman Domingo, Marie Domingo, Charles Armstrong, Claudia Armstrong, Mark Armstrong, Errolyn Armstrong, and Michelle Stanford. She was preceded in death by Coleman Domingo, Mark Armstrong, and Michelle Sanford,

Gloria is survived by her sister Maria Armstrong, her loving children Marie, Charles, Claudia, and Errolyn. She also leaves behind a host of cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, grand-nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Gloria will be remembered for her lively spirit and warm heart. She loved dancing, traveling, sewing, cooking, crocheting, and singing. Her fun-loving personality and caring nature lit up every room she entered. A hardworking and vibrant woman, she built lifelong friendships and shared her gifts with everyone around her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut. A repast will follow on Saturday, September 13, at 2:30 p.m. at 55 Keeler Avenue, in Bridgeport, CT 06606.
