Gilberto Vasquez

Gilberto Vasquez, age 61, of Fairfield, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at St.Vincent's Hospital. Gilberto was born in New York City on October 2, 1955; the son of the late Angel L. Vasquez and Dolores Santiago Vasquez. He was a very unique person who remained optimistic and cheerful no matter the situation. He was a faithful member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Rockaway Beach NY for many years, until he moved to Connecticut 6 years ago. Gilberto was a resident at Ludlow Rehab Center in Fairfield where he was beloved by staff and residence. He will be remembered for his love of music, the beach, and watching his favorite shows on T.V. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Gilberto is survived by: Brother William Vasquez, sisters Millie Maldonado, Vivian Vasquez and Evelyn Ward.
