Gilberto Torres - Medina

Gilberto Torres Medina, age 73, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Julia Torres, entered into eternal rest Friday, June 21, 2019 surrounded by the love and care of his family at Bridgeport Hospital. Gilberto was born March 15, 1946 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico the son of the late Miguel Arcangel Torres & Maria Antonia Medina. Gilberto migrated to Connecticut in 1960's. Gilberto remarried for 34 years to Julia Gonzalez Torres and were inseparable. They traveled together everywhere and were members of St. Charles Church. In his past time he enjoyed action movies, Latin music and danced especially at family gatherings. Gilberto worked for Bridgeport Hospital for 30 years, he was a great provider to his family and friends. Besides his wife Gilberto is survived by: 3 daughters, Betzaida Cruz Torres (Juan Cruz) of Hartford, Lucy R. Rosario (Luis E. Rosario) of Bridgeport, Xiomara Torres of Bridgeport; 4 siblings, Milton Torres (Norma Torres), Miguel Torres, Angel R. Torres (Margarita Torres), German Torres (Yolanda Torres) all of Puerto Rico; 3 step children, Gladys Jardim (Manny Jardim) of Bridgeport, Anita Hernandez of Naugatuck, Louis Hernadez (Wilma Burgos) of Bridgeport; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish his memory.
