Gerard George Hrostek entered into peaceful rest on Saturday, January 27th, 2024. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on April 23,1959. Gerard was a loving, kind-hearted brother and cherished friend, who loved everyone with his caring & compassionate ways. His easy going nature, fun-loving sense of humor and his warm smile, lifted our spirits and made our world brighter & lighter. Growing up Gerard played sports; he was on the basketball and wrestling team in highschool. He liked watching college football & was a New York Giants fan. He enjoyed being outdoors, swimming, hiking, and walking, no matter the season. He worked as a landscaper with the family business. His strong sense of faith gave hope & reassurance, throughout our lives. He will always be special to us and will stay close in our hearts forever.
Beloved son of the late Edward & Lucile Hrostek. Gerard is survived by his six siblings; Lucille, Loretta, Vincent, Johnny, Anne-Marie and Regina, several nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and friends.
