Genoveva Diaz, age 80, of Bridgeport, Connecticut passed into eternal rest on May 5th 2022 at her home, surrounded by the love and care of her family. Genoveva was born January 2, 1942 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The beloved daughter of the late Amelia Vega & Carlos Diaz, Genoveva was one of 12 siblings. Genoveva loved cooking and spending time with her family. She also loved playing bingo with friends on her free time. Genoveva is survived by: daughter, Sadie Padilla of Bridgeport, CT; sisters, Maria L. Diaz of Ponce, PR;, Adriana Diaz of Ponce, PR; Marta Diaz of Ponce, PR; Angela Diaz of Bridgeport, CT; Amelia Diaz & brother-in-law Raymond Torres of Ponce, PR; Sandra Diaz & brother-in-law Russell Colon of Bridgeport, CT; nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish her memory.
