Martinez: Francisco Martinez, age 57, of Bridgeport entered into eternal peace Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Ludlow Health Center in Fairfield, CT. Francisco was born Friday, May 11th, 1956 in Manati, PR the fourth child of Josefa and Lorenzo Martinez. Funny and outgoing, Francisco found his calling as a radio host early, starting with his first job at Radio Manati and Radio Melodia at age 16. Francisco went on to have a long and varied radio career. He worked with Wapa Radio, Radio Borinquen, WKBM, 11Q and, for the past sixteen years he hosted Radio Cumbre's morning program, El Traqueteo de la Maana, here in Bridgeport. A hard working, loyal family man Francisco's sense of humor, open heart and love of life made him a well liked and beloved member of the community, his smooth dulcet tones will be missed by Latino radio listeners far and wide. A loving and devoted father, Francisco is survived by his adoring children; Lorenny, Francisco Javier and Emmanuel Martinez; his siblings; Dolores Martinez, Iluminado Martinez, Nydia Martinez, Santos Martinez and Eucebio Martinez and his beloved grandchildren in whose shining eyes and bright smiles Francisco will always live on. In death Francisco reunites with his cherished parents Josefa and Lorenzo.
