Frances M Kelly

Frances M. Casimiro Kelly, age 91, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Michael J. Kelly, Sr., passed away peacefully on December 30, 2014, in Hollywood, Florida. Born in Bridgeport on September 26, 1923, Frances was the devoted daughter of the late John and Marion Puglisi Casimiro. A proud, lifelong Bridgeport resident and Central High School graduate, Frances, together with her husband Michael, were the proprietors of several area businesses, most notably Kelly's Corner and Together, a clothing boutique that was a popular shopping destination on Main Street in Bridgeport during the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Frances was seemingly feisty on the outside while truly kind and soft-hearted on the inside. Anything she did was done meticulously, even the most mundane tasks of folding laundry and making beds. Her true passion in life was being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She resided in Florida for the past six years with her son Bobby who solely cared for his parents during their final years which were marked with many physical setbacks for them both. In addition to her beloved and devoted son, Robert J. Kelly of Oakland Park Florida and his fiance Rosanna, Frances is survived by her loving granddaughters, Michelle Evan and Lori Kelly, and her special great granddaughters, Cayley and Milena. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her beloved son Michael J. Kelly, Jr. and her siblings and their spouses, John (Mary) Casimiro, Mary (George) Montambo, and Thomas (Bea) Casimiro. Frances loved to reminisce about her youth and such pastimes as dancing at the Ritz and Pleasure Beach ballrooms. We know that she is dancing right now in heaven, playing cards with her life-long friends, visiting a heavenly casino, and reveling in being reunited with her husband, son, parents, and siblings. At last, she is resting peacefully in the arms of a loving God.
