Fatima 'Cuca' Reyes

Fatima "Cuca" Reyes, age 60 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Bridgeport Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Cuca was born May 6, 1959 in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic; the beloved daughter of the late Don Rafael Reyes & Fresolina Pichardo. Cuca arrived to the United States on April 13, 1974. In 1983 she met Victor Rodriguez and married shortly after, settling in the city of Bridgeport. Together they created two beautiful daughters, Vanessa Rodriguez in '86 & Nadia "Coco" Rodriguez in '89. Cuca worked as a waitress at Frankie's Diner for 30 years. She enjoyed spending time her family, fishing, and watching baseball; especially the New York Yankees and Tigres del Licey. Cuca touched the lives of many people due to her service, charisma, and personality. Besides her parents, Cuca was predeceased by two siblings, Prospero Reyes & Hector Reyes. In addition to her daughters, Cuca is survived by: six siblings, Josefina Valero, Mercedes Yena, Ana Almazar, Rafael Reyes, Jose Rafael & Fatima Chalas; one grandchild Collyn Hoffler; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory. We are not celebrating her passing, but instead celebrating her life and spirit which continues to live with us. Thank you for your continuous support. In the words of Cuca, "Hoy se bebe."
