Our beloved was born Evelyn Resto on June 9, 1960 to Irma Villanueva and the late Robert Resto Sr. She married the love of her life Angel Figueroa and that love resulted in her greatest blessing Rebekah. Evelyn returned to the Loving Arms of the Lord at the age of 59, on Monday, October 14, 2019. She was a long time resident of Bridgeport. Evelyn was a graduate of Harding High School and pursued a music degree from South Eastern Bible College in Lakeland, Florida. For twenty-four years, she was employed at People's United Bank where she collaborated as a mortgage closer. She was a true believer in Jesus Christ and exemplified him in every aspect of her life. Evelyn's musical talent allowed her to serve God and her church as music/choir director for many years. She had an exceptional voice, which she used to worship her faithful God. Not only was she passionate about music but also family and friends. Evelyn's strength was an example of her faith. Her laughter and silliness was contagious and often displayed even in those difficult moments of her life. Her resilience was admirable! She will be remembered with love and sorely missed by all who knew her. Evelyn is the loving and caring sister of Robert Resto Jr., Daniel Resto, Diana Bernard and Elizabeth Resto. She is "Titi" Evelyn to Celeste Bernard, Valerie Bernard, Johnathan Resto, Yahir Resto, Jason Resto, Kayslee Resto the twins Noemi and Junior Bernard and Savannah Resto. Although Evelyn will be greatly missed, our comfort is that she is now in a place free from heartache and disease. She left us full of memories, with a song in our lips and the hope of a better tomorrow in Christ. To God Be the Glory!
