Eva Lydia Rosa Eva Lydia Rosa, age 88, entered into peaceful rest Saturday, October 8th, 2011 at her home, with her loving family by her side. Eva was a devoted wife for over fifty years to the late Miguel Nieves. Eva was originally from Barrio Pina Toa Alta, La Praa, Puerto Rico. She later resided in Bridgeport for the last 19 years. Eva was a hard worker, a strict mother and good provider. Eva Lydia Rosa Oquendo was born May 28th, 1923 to the late Encainacion Oquendo and Arcadio Rosa. She was the youngest of sixteen siblings. Eva is survived by: three daughters, Maria, Nicolasa, Gladis Nieves, two sons, Mariano, William Nieves, two brothers, Juan, Antonio Rosa, twenty-four grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and extended family and friends that will miss her deeply. Eva was predeceased by daughter Teolfila Nieves. Friends may greet the family Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave. BPT.
