On October 22, 1960, she married the love of her life, Sevelio M Rosado, and they shared 64 wonderful years together.

Femi was a loving, warm spirit who thrived on friendship. She hosted many gatherings at the family home where all were welcomed. After having children, she obtained her GED, and went on to earn a Clerical Certificate from Bullard Havens Regional School. Femi worked at Fairfield University’s Conference Center; she then went on to work for FM Brown’s Furniture as an Office Manager.

Femi was a woman of many talents and passions. She had a keen eye for restoring furniture and art, a passion she pursued throughout her life. Before her retirement, she was the proprietor of Sweet Memories Antiques until 2005, a store she cherished deeply in the historic Black Rock section of Bridgeport. Her dedication to her craft was evident in every piece she restored and sold.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Femi was deeply committed to serving her community. In retirement, she became a volunteer for the Foster Grandparent Program at Roosevelt Elementary School in Bridgeport, where she offered academic assistance and guidance to countless children. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of all those she encountered.

Femi was the heart of her family, known for her unwavering love and boundless hospitality. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, hosting gatherings at her family home where all were welcomed with open arms. Despite the demands of her work and volunteer commitments, Femi always prioritized her role as a loving wife, mother, and matriarch.
