Ernesto Vargas Martinez

Ernesto Vargas Martinez, age 78 of Norwalk, entered into eternal rest Friday, October 23, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. Ernesto was a loving father of four. He had a great sense of humor and a heart of gold. Ernesto worked for the Department of Public Works and was also mechanic he was often referred to as "Mechanico" or "Camuy". Ernesto was born Thursday, December 3, 1936 in Camuy, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of the late Enrique Martinez & Josefa Vargas. Besides his parents Ernest is predeceased by brother, Victor Martinez. Ernesto is survived by: two daughters, Alice & son-in-law Jimmy Thames of Bridgeport, CT., Sonia Martinez & son-in-law Tejiner Singh of West Haven, CT; two sons, Hector Martinez of Bridgeport, CT., Ernest Martinez of Bridgeport, CT; fifteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish his memory.
