Eric Garcia

Eric Garcia, 54, of West Haven, CT, passed away on January 15, 2025. Eric was born on March 13, 1970 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, CT to Robert and Mille Garcia.

Eric was predeceased by his grandparents Israel and Gloria Olmo and Robert and Carmen Garcia as well as his nephew Mikeal Breary.

He is survived by his parents Robert/Julianna Garcia and Millie/ Dennis Criter, his sons Eric, Robert and Christopher Garcia, Goddaughter Jessica Napoleon as well as his beloved grandchildren Eric Jr., Isaiah, Julian, Jaden, Jeremiah and Isabella, siblings Brenda Garcia, Robert Garcia and Kiesha Nunez along with a host of nieces and nephews for whom he was called Tio Little Man.

Eric was small but mighty and always willing to lend a helping hand. He took pride in his work ethics. No job was too big or too small for him. His real work was the love he had for all the kids, especially his grandchildren who truly were his pride and joy.

Eric's phone calls always started with "Bendicion" or "God Bless You" I'm proud of you. If you were his mother he would add, "How is my queen?" and if you were his little brother he would say, "I'm so proud of you Dr. Garcia".

Eric was known to be a prayer warrior and always carried a mini bible around with him while seeking God's grace. He loved spending time visiting his Mom (Millie) and Pop Pop (Dennis) and insisted on always grilling out no matter how cold it was outside.

We will always carry your memory in our hearts and pray for your soul. We are reminded a tear evaporates, but a prayer for my soul God picks up. Don't cry as I go to unite myself with God. I will love you in Heaven as I have loved you on earth. To everyone who has loved me, I ask that you pray for me which is the greatest proof of love.

Celebration of Life Ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
