Eneida Vazquez Torres

Eneida Vazquez Torres, lovingly known as Gloria, passed away peacefully at her home in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on July 26, 2024, at the age of 86.

Born to the late Flora Torres and Dolores Vazquez on January 28, 1938, in Maricao, Puerto Rico, Gloria was raised in Maricao and later moved to Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, before settling in Bridgeport.

Gloria devoted her life to her family, raising ten children with love and dedication. Though she never worked outside the home, her contributions were immeasurable. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching TV and playing with her grandchildren. Gloria also had a deep love for flowers and plants, which brought beauty and tranquility to her surroundings.

Her nurturing spirit, warm presence, and the love she shared with her family will be deeply missed. Gloria is survived by her six children, numerous grandchildren, and many who were touched by her kindness and grace.

Eneida is predeceased by her 4 children: Wilson Cruz, Milton Cruz, Juana Maria Ortiz and her Nena.
