Emma 'Jenny' Morales

Emma "Jenny" Morales, age 71, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 16, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Emma was born March 31, 1946, in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, the beloved daughter of the late Angel Antonio Morales & Aida E. Ramirez. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She took pride in her family and had a special bond with her grandchildren. Emma loved to cook, make others laugh, and be sure to always have her nails done perfectly. She was incredibly compassionate and generous. Emma took care of anyone in need. She was a foster mother many years ago when she lived in New York City. Her family would like to extend a special ‘thank you' to all of the nurses' aides who showed tremendous kindness while caring for Emma. Besides her parents, Emma was predeceased by: the love of her life, Juan Ortiz; daughters, Marta Ortiz and Elizabeth Ortiz; sisters, Loreine Morales, Evelyn Morales; brothers, Angel Antonio Morales, Melvin Morales. Emma is survived by: seven children, Nelyn Ortiz & Luis Torres, Juan Carlos Ortiz, Milagros Ortiz & Cristobal Ruiz, Lourdes E. Ortiz, Patrick Linex Ortiz, Madeline P. Ortiz, and Indira A. Romero; seven siblings, Ivan, Daniel, Nabet, Grisel, Milagros, Roberto, and Nelsie Morales; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends who will honor her memory.
