Elsa E Irizarry

Elsa Irizarry, age 81 of Cayey, PR entered into eternal rest Friday, November 20, 2015. Elsa was born March 8, 1934 in Cayey, PR to the late Modesta Pomales and Estevan Santiago. Elsa moved to Bridgeport in the early 1960's to raise her family until she and her husband Raul moved to Puerto Rico in 1993 to live out their retirement years. Elsa loved baseball and enjoyed watching her favorite team, the Mets play in NY whenever she visited CT. She was a loving mother of three. Besides her parents, Elsa is predeceased by her late husband, Raul Irizarry; son, Rafael Lopez, Jr; grandson, Rafael Lopez, III; brother, Angel Santiago and sister Norma Santiago. Elsa is survived by: son, Luis Irizarry and daughter-in-law Vilma of Orange, CT; daughter, Maria Flores and son-in-law Raul Flores, Jr., of Stratford, CT; daughter-in-law, Irene Lopez of Bridgeport, CT; three brothers Hector, Benjamin and George Santiago; four sisters, Carmen, Victoria, Maria Santiago and Carmen Negron all from Puerto Rico; six grandchildren, Elsie Lopez, Erica Valentin, Nicole Santiago, Valdo Flores, Steven Flores and Aryssel Flores. Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish her memory.
