Elizabeth Roman

Elizabeth Roman, affectionately known as "Liz La Mariposa," age 51, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at her home on February 8, 2025. Born on January 7, 1974, in Bronx, New York, Elizabeth was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth Marmolejo.

Raised in New York, Elizabeth relocated to Bridgeport at the age of 9, where she built a life filled with love, strength, and dedication to those she cared for. She was known for her bold, strong-minded personality, balanced by her caring, loyal, and humorous nature. Liz had a love for arts and crafts, crime shows, and word searches. Her compassionate spirit led her to a career as a caregiver and security guard, roles where her reliability and warmth touched many lives.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving mother, Elizabeth Marmolejo; her cherished children, Janissa and Robin (Jayden); her treasured grandchildren, Jay’Niah Majoi, Jae’Lynn Malette, and Cyncere MiLuz. Her devoted siblings, Ivan, Ivania, and Christian; her beloved nieces and nephews, Junior, Izzy, Abdiel, Mateo, and Leo.

She is predeceased by her grandparents, Luz Marina and Carlos Arturo, whose memories she always carried in her heart.

Elizabeth will be remembered for her unwavering love, creative spirit, and fierce loyalty. Her light will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew her.
