Donavan Ricardo Daley

Donavan R. Daley, age 59, of Roanoke, Virginia; The beloved husband of Gloria Thompson-Daley passed away on July 13, 2021 in Roanoke, Virginia. On February 21, 1962 Donavan was welcomed into the world by his beloved parents Melford Daley and Alva Folkes in Jamaica. Donavan grew up in a large family; he had 5 sisters and 4 brothers. After leaving Jamaica he moved to Canada to live with his father Melford and lived there for many years before moving to the United States. Donavan enjoyed sports, cooking, partying and just spending time with his family. He worked in Construction. Donavan is survived by: grandparents Elma Folkes and Cyril Folkes; parents Melford Daley and Alva Folkes; spouse Gloria Thompson-Daley; children Mya Daley, Dennesha Daley, Odane Daley, Jamal Daley, Shanika Daley, Shanice Daley, Sasha Daley, Oshane Daley, Malachi Daley, Tashanna Daley; stepsons Jareese Carr, Adrian Jonas; 8 grandchildren; 5 sisters; 4 brothers; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
