In Loving Memory of Diana Marie Sanchez

October 2, 1978 – July 28, 2025

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Diana Marie Sanchez, lovingly known to many as “D,” who departed this life on July 28, 2025, at the age of 46 at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT.

Born in Norwalk, CT, on October 2, 1978, to Maria M. Sanchez and Jose M. Sanchez Sr., Diana was a vibrant light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a devoted daughter, a loyal sister to Jose M. Sanchez Jr., a proud and loving mother to her daughter Raven Alexis Camacho, and a doting grandmother to her precious grandson, Kyng Pemberton.

Diana dedicated her career to serving others as a home health aide with Griswold Home Care in Stratford, CT. Her passion for caring for the elderly reflected the warmth and compassion she carried in her heart. Though she had a tough exterior, those closest to her knew she was full of love, honesty, and humor — a woman with no filter, but every word she spoke came from a place of truth.

A true animal lover, Diana was especially fond of her cat Osiris and her fish, and she had a special place in her heart for all of God’s creatures. She loved the colors baby blue and yellow, which perfectly reflected her bright, energetic, and joyful spirit.

She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: her coffee, her family, and working on puzzles to calm her mind. Some of her most cherished memories were made with her daughter — quiet days at the dog park followed by pizza, just the two of them, building their bond and sharing life in their own unique way.

Diana was predeceased by her beloved grandmother Mariana Martinez, her other grandmother, Dominga Valentine, aunt Janet Martinez, uncle Carlos Casiano, and cousin Danny Martinez. Their memories now join her in eternal peace.

She leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, laughter, and authenticity. Diana was someone who kept things interesting — her fiery spirit, big personality, and beautiful heart left a mark that will never be forgotten. She believed in the power of saying "I love you" and showing it whenever she could. She and her mother shared a playful nickname, calling each other "Stinker," and their deep love for one another was evident to all who knew them.

Diana’s life reminds us that love, even when expressed imperfectly, is what binds us together. Her departure leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her memory will forever be cherished.

There are no goodbyes — just a “see you later.”
