David Leigh Clark

David Leigh Clark, age 62, of Bergen, NY and Bridgeport, CT entered into eternal peace on Thursday, April 11th, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital. David was born on Monday, October 16th, 1950 in Elmira, NY, the only son of Virginia G. Clark (nee Chapman) and Leigh Clark. In the face of great peer pressure and social upheaval David made the difficult choice to answer his country's call to duty by serving in the United States Army and fighting in Vietnam. Later he went on to graduate college, earn a Master's degree in psychology. David worked as a psychologist for the state of New York and at times as a college professor. David enjoyed fast cars, oldies music, good food and lively conversation. A traveling man, David loved camping and adventure, his wit and wisdom will be missed by college student and friend alike. Recently married, David is survived by new wife, Marisol Clark of Bridgeport and parents, Leigh and Virginia Clark of Florida. David also leaves behind a large and loving blended family children; John (Molly) Becker of NY, Theresa (Ken) Relyea of NY, Michelle (Ben) Clark of SC, Davida Clark of PA, Kimberly Clark of NY and Jennifer Wilcox of NY and stepchildren, Pedro Roman, Charlie Roman and Shayla Roman. David's memory will always be cherished by his grandchildren Joshua and Mackenzie Relyea, Alexis and Kianne Clark, Devyn (Nick Gorom) Wilcox, Bella Nugent and Nathan Roman. David is also survived by beloved younger sister Kathy Graham of OH, his niece Meredith and a host of friends and colleagues whose lives were enriched for knowing him.
