David 'Negro' Calderon

David Calderon, age 38, of Bridgeport, CT, devoted spouse of Vanessa Aponte, passed into heavenly rest on April 30, 2023 in Bridgeport. David was born on June 14, 1984 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to Benjamin Calderon and Romona Casiano. The oldest of seven children, he and his six brothers and sisters were raised in San German, Puerto Rico. David and his wife, Vanessa, were married for 11 years and together they raised their children and stepchildren with a loving heart and a caring, nurturing home. Affectionately known as "Negro", David's favorite pastimes were horseback riding and spending time with his family. He was a kind, joyful presence to everyone he encountered and will be dearly missed. David is predeceased by his grandfather, Jose D. Casiano. He is survived by his parents, Ramona Casiano and Benjamin Calderon; his beloved wife, Vanessa Aponte, his daughters Jadrianny Calderon, Tylice Calderon, and Talina Calderon; his five stepchildren; his brothers and sisters Raymond Calderon, Angel Santiago, Angelica Santiago, Luis R Pabon, Julio A Pabon, and Jelissa Pabon; and 3 special people in his life: Ramon Pabon, Maribel Casiano, Elizabeth Cruz, and Eliz Yazmin Rodriquez. A host of friends and family will continue to honor and cherish his memory. Friends may greet the family Tuesday, May 9, from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm.
