Dalton Anthony Blyden Dalton Anthony Blyden, age 59, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 11th, 2012 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Dalton was born in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas on February 2nd, 1952 to the late Paul Anthony Blyden and surviving mother Ida Louise Freeman. He was the second of twelve siblings. Dalton graduated Charllote Amalie High School in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He then joined the Navy and served our Country in Vietnam War. Dalton moved to Connecticut in 1972 and married former wife Shirley Blyden and had his only beloved son Xavier Blyden. Dalton was committed to his family and hardworking. He worked as a manager in Cambell's Soup Company. He also was a computer programmer and a plumber. Besides his son Xavier Blyden of Bridgeport and mother Ida L. Freeman Blyden Christopher of St. Thomas, Dalton is survived by nine siblings: David of St. Thomas, Bernice of FL., Lydia, John of St. Thomas, Franklin of NC., Edith of MA., Karl of St. Thomas, Judith of FL., and Pearl Blyden of FL. Dalton also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held in Dalton's honor, Saturday, February 18th, 2012 at 5:00 pm in United Congregational Church, 877 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment held in St. Thomas, US.
