Cynthia Marie 'Sint' English

Cynthia Marie (Simp) English, 63, a life-long Connecticut resident, proud mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker, departed from this life on December 11, 2022 at Bridgeport hospital, in Bridgeport, CT. Cynthia was born on June 17, 1959 in Williamston, North Carolina to Dorothy Dixon, and James Jones. Cynthia is predeceased by her grandmother Irene Dixon, mother Dorothy Dixon, father James Jones, husband David English, brother Michael Dixon, and Sons Omri Dixon and Austin Gomes. Cynthia is survived by her son Lamont Dixon of Hamden, CT, daughter Lachonda Dixon of Stamford, CT, daughter Kyteva English of Norwalk, CT, Daughter In-Law Medjane Gomes, Sisters Sandra Bryant and Demetria Dixon both of Bridgeport, CT, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Cynthia was a devout member of the Community Tabernacle Church of Deliverance in Stamford, CT for over 30 years. Cynthia loved the Lord, and if loving the Lord was wrong, she didn't want to be right! Cynthia truly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing laughs, memories, and most importantly, motherly wisdom through the glory of God. She will be missed dearly and celebrated daily. "Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." Mathew 11:28-30 Funeral Services will be held at the Community Funeral Chapel 798 Park Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06604. Calling hours will be held 11/19/2022 from 11am-12pm, followed by a funeral service from 12pm-1pm Funeral will be officiated by Bishop Michael Densmore of Community Tabernacle of Deliverance Church.
