Comillus 'Tc' Joel

Comillus Joel "TC" age 81 entered in heavenly rest Friday, April 3, 2015 at home with his son James Joel and his loving wife Ruth of 56 years by his side. Comillus was a brave solider of the US Army he served in Korea & Japan War. He also was an active member of the American Legion. Comillus was a great provider he worked at Bridgeport Brass Company, Mobile Chemical Company and Bic Corporation. He took pride in playing basketball, horses, paddle tennis and pool tournaments, he enjoyed the outdoors. Comillus was a kind hearted, easy going type of man who loved children. He was very family oriented and always tried to keep the peace. He always opened his doors to any child in need of a place to stay and enjoyed buying ice cream to put a smile on a child's face. Comillus was born Saturday, January 27, 1934 in Winston Salem, NC to the lateTrenton Joel and Mary Lowery. Comillus joins in heavenly rest pre-deceased by: son, Joell Fredrick Joel; three brothers, Robert Joel, Bowmen Joel, Lawrence Joel; five sisters,Thelma Covinton, Alice Gilcrest, Geraldine Crosby , Eleanor Harris and Sally Ann Wallace. Comillus leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Ruth Joel; five sons, James Joel, Justin Joel, Gary Joel, Darryl Joel, three daughters, Selivia Avery, Mary Ellen Morgan Joel, Tracy Jones Joel; two sisters Mary F. Jester, Helen Robinson; special cousin; Diane Mills; grand-daughter, Dieasha Joel and great-grandson, Von Joel; sister-in-law, Dorothy Joel; brother-in-law William Wallace, along with a host of extended family and friends that will miss him greatly. Friends may greet the family Friday, April 10, 2015 from 11:00am to 12:00pm and funeral service honoring Comeillus life will proceed from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Community Funeral Chapels 798 Park Ave. Bridgeport, CT. 06604 Tel:203-334-9999.
