Cindy Rivas

Cindy Rivas, age 67, of Bridgeport, the spouse of Arturo Rivas of 40 years, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 31, 1956, Cindy was the beloved daughter of the late Adeline and Nicholas Kaddo. Raised in a warm Catholic household with three siblings, Cindy learned from an early age the values of love, faith, and family.

Cindy was a woman of many talents and passions. She was an extraordinary cook, known for bringing people together with her delicious meals, and she could crochet beautiful pieces that adorned her home and those of her loved ones. Always the life of the party, Cindy's warmth, bubbly personality, and love for dancing made every gathering special. Her home was a place where friends became family, and laughter was always in abundance.

A devoted wife, Cindy shared a life filled with love and joy with her husband, Arturo Rivas. Together, they raised a beautiful family, and Cindy's legacy lives on through her children, Tanya Berrios, Tara Berrios, Alexander Rivas, Christopher Rivas, and Arthur Rivas. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Skylynn Reyes, Jeloni Cruz, Gianni Daniels, Inez Rivas, and Lukas Alexander Rivas, Alana Rivas, as well as her precious great-granddaughter, Avalynn Codrington. Cindy was also a cherished sister to Allyson Jessop and a beloved aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Cindy's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. Her home was always open, her heart always warm, and her presence was a blessing to all who knew her.

Besides her parents, Cindy was predeceased by her siblings Patricia and Nicholas Kaddo.
