Christine H. Wright Christine H. Wright, age 87, of Shelton, CT., passed away Tuesday evening November 24th at Griffin Hospital with her family by her side. Christine was the former president of AARP, a retiree of Carpenter Steel and an active member of Trumbull Congregational Church. She also Belonged to the Daughters of the British Empire, and participated in many other activities. As a young lady Christine was drafted and served fearlessly in the Royal Army during WWII. Born in Westerton, Scotland April 6th, 1922, daughter of the late James Little John & Margaret Murray. She is survived by her caring daughter Christine Murray and her husband Gerald Duhancik, 3 Grandchildren; Bill and wife Carrie Wright, Gerald and wife Jill Duhancik, and Kirsty and husband Ronald Kempf. 4 Great Grandchildren; Paige, Jaime, Justin, & Parker. Niece Dorothy Howie, Nephew Jim Younger and several cousins. Christine was predeceased by her loving Husband of 45 years William Wright, daughter Linda L Hooke, and her sister Pearl Younger. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 at 5:00 pm in Trumbull Congregational Church in Trumbull. In lew of flowers donations can be made to A Cure for Alzheimer's.
