Christina Marie Gifford

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christina Gifford, affectionately known to her family and friends as "Chrissypoo," who left us on March 21, 2025, at the age of 61. She passed away peacefully at her home in Bridgeport, CT, surrounded by love.

Born on February 17, 1964, in Bridgeport, Christina was a lifelong resident of the city she loved. She was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, and friend, known for her kind spirit and caring heart. Christina’s deep love for animals was evident throughout her life, and she dedicated herself to helping them in any way she could. She was a veterinarian assistant and dog groomer, roles in which she found great fulfillment, knowing that she was making a difference in the lives of both animals and their owners.

One of the most remarkable things about Christina was her selflessness. She cared more about others than she did about herself, always putting the needs of those around her first. Whether it was a simple act of kindness or a major life event, Christina was always there to support and help anyone in need. She was one of the first in her family to attend college, setting an example for those who followed her, and she will always be remembered for her hard work and determination.

Christina’s love for animals extended beyond her career. She loved to draw and spent many hours creating beautiful artwork. Her creative spirit and gentle soul touched the hearts of everyone she met, and her legacy will live on in the memories of those she loved and who loved her.

She is survived by her son, Eric Gifford, and her grandchildren, Eric Gifford Jr. and Alaysia Gifford. Christina leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Christina’s memory to animal welfare organizations, a cause close to her heart.

Christina will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all the animals whose lives she touched. Rest in peace, Chrissypoo
