Charles Pierce

Charles Pierce, age 61 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest Monday, August 13th, 2012 in Bridgeport Hospital. Raised in New York City, Charles was educated in the New York City School System. After graduation, Charles worked as an intra-state truck driver delivering products for various companies. While employed as a Truck driver, he drove New York City Cabs on his days off. He also was the owner of two successful night clubs in Brooklyn, NY. He moved to Connecticut in the early eighties. Until he became ill, he worked as a token clerk at Token Services Inc. in Bridgeport. Charles was a very private person. He mostly enjoyed just being alone with his lady Nancy Campbell. He very seldom visited anyone, but when he did, he would be the life of the party. He didn't visit long, but when he left, you knew that he was there. He liked to make jokes, and keep everyone around him laughing. Charles was born on September 10th, 1950 in Bennettsville, South Carolina. Son of the late Minnie & Edward Pierce, Charles was the fifth of eight siblings. Charles leaves to cherish his memory: one son Tyan Pierce of Bridgeport, four sisters Laura Pierce, Lucile Pierce Walker, Annie R. Pierce ofNY., Minnie M. Pierce of GA., three brothers, Altony Pierce, James A. Pierce of NY., Edward Pierce of SC., and a host of extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held in Charles's honor, Monday, August 20th, 2012 at 3:00pm to 5:00pm in Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave., Bridgeport,CT. (203)334-9999.
