In the late 1960s, she moved to CT with her family to be closer to her grandmother and her aunts. Kitty was a devoted, loving parent to her five children Joyce, Carolyn, James, Walter, and Howard, and her loving heart only grew as her family grew into grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her family said of her, near the end of her life, "She didn't have the energy for anything until she got into that casino, and she would light right up." Kitty loved traveling and going to the casino with her niece Evelyn. Her favorite foods to eat are fried chicken, lobster, & her cold Pepsi. She especially loved sitting on her porch with her family & friends on Howard Avenue. Kitty was also a member of the Holiness Church of God for All People, INC.
